It occured to me that Victoria and Mordran could very well have run off and gotten married in another country by now.  The Gorgon's mother is a priestess -- she can perform weddings.  However, in addition to wanting to marry each other, these two also want to be able to resume their old lives again.  Unfortunately, in Daironya, only a person of higher rank can legally perform marriages, and the only people of higher rank in Daironya than Victoria are her parents.  Eek.
