Ah, logic . . . a skill at which Adelaide and Linnea excel, and Aylia has yet to acquire naturally.  As far as Adelaide's concerned, this seems an ideal situation: "You don't want to see her, she doesn't want to see you -- great.  You'll both avoid each other.  Wish that woman would treat me the same."  To Aylia, however, this is rather expectation-shattering.  She still doesn't want to see her mother, but she wants to be the one avoiding, the one with all real control of the situation.
