Annnnnd . . . now we find out what's up with Alexis!  She's been in school for a few weeks now, since her master's classes started much earlier than the first classes at the wizarding school, and she's been having a grand time at it.  Last she heard, everything seemed to be fine with X, who had gotten over her surliness and finally gotten around to choosing a school.  Relieved, their parents let her go off on her own, naively assuming things were settled, and X wasn't heading for trouble.  Yeah . . .
