Thing is, I don't think Daria ever did get trusted with a key to the apartment she shared with Aylia, X, and Loretta.  (I mean, she's Daria.  This is understandable.)  Practically anytime she needed to get inside, somebody would be there -- such as Felincia -- and, if worse came to worse, she could always use transportation magic to find someone to let her in.  (Technically, she could also use transportation magic to get inside, but her real shape wouldn't fit in any single room of the apartment.)
