I love the Oracle of Lycanth's response to their assumptions.  (Grin.)  You see, I've always found it boring that the main character of any epic fantasy story (and many other subgenres of fantasy, too) has to be the one the entire universe revolves around.  Meh.  It's rare to find one person in reality whose decisions entire civilizations hang on, so why must it be such a prevalent cliche in fantasy?  If a character can have an interesting story just by being themselves, why should they have to be a child of prophecy?
