Harold is the unpleasant, grade-grubbing individual in the second panel.  He's the one we saw in Strip #1,049, complaining that he had to take this class, even though it doesn't much relate to his academic focus (Strategy).  Unlike most of the class, which has a tendency to get distracted (Loretta, Drake, Lanon, etc.), Harold is an unpleasant student because he's always whining about having to take a class he doesn't see the point of.  But he's also anxious to pass it and get it over with, so he cares about his grade here.
