The mermaid really is fond of saying "mean human," isn't she?  That was one of the things that didn't show up in my original scripts, but it worked so well that I was pleased when it showed up in the strip before this one.  You could almost feel sorry for the mermaid sometimes, too . . . except that considering the reason she probably came in the first place, she's almost certainly only getting what she deserves.
