Heh heh.  Jane and Kuralla were the last two characters based on the same person who needed to be given a whole strip of interaction, and we had fun with this strip.  In case you don't follow Nowhere University, the Trekkie character Jane's talking about is here, and he likes to bother Jane by calling her "Janeway."  Of course he would see that as a compliment, since Janeway's the Voyager captain, but Jane isn't fond of nicknames.
