Pokota is named after my favorite magical girl mascot, a cute stuffed lion in Hime-chan no Ribbon.  And the transformation scene on Himeno's computer comes from Fushigi Hoshi no Futago Hime, quite possibly the most adorable magical girl anime ever.  Himeno's obsession with magical girl anime is based on mine, in case you can't tell.  :D  Of course, Aylia is not a magical girl, even though she's my comic strip's representation of me . . . but Himeno wouldn't want to hear that!
