I have this vision in my head of an exasperating middle-aged man going on and on and on at the Oracle, asking eighteen zillion questions, trying to get her to spell out every teensy detail of his future, even though she'd have no way of answering both of them.  It's no wonder there's a limit to how long people are allowed to engage the Oracle's services!  Forty minutes is actually quite generous; there have been Oracles in the past who'd kick people out after only one to three questions.
