This is a continuation from the last storyline with Felincia's family, in which Davin (the second-oldest) decided to move out and join a tribe in Lycanth that was happy to accept him.  This didn't go over well with his father, who is a made werewolf and hence not allowed in Lycanth, which means he cannot visit his own son as long as his son's living there.  Needless to say, that means hearing his other children talk about the fun time they had visiting Davin tends to be rather galling.
