Ha ha ha!  Poor Aylia!  Seriously, her rank is just the sort of thing to make most people flip out.  Of course, this administrator is a bit overzealous in her use of the word "princess" -- technically, Aylia is not a princess, and she never has been: she's a duchess.  In Umbria, a grown-up prince who is not next in line to inherit the throne becomes a "duke."  Any children he has are dukes and duchesses, unless the duke becomes king -- only then do they become princes and princesses.
