And now, one of the weirdest character interactions ever!  The thing about Stefanee is that she's not a hypocrite -- she loves to bother other people, yes, but it's also completely consistent with her life-philosophy to be perfectly fine with other people bothering her.  She doesn't like Adelaide, yes, but that's because Adelaide annoys her by refusing to get annoyed.  So, bizarrely, X's not-a-good-solution has . . . improved the situation.  Mermaids are strange.
