When Dron annoys people, he grinds and grinds and grinds at them.  This is because he's doing it "for their own good" (whether or not the victim consented or agrees).  Your typical mermaid -- like Stefanee -- merely annoys because she finds it funny, so she's quick to lose interest in any one target if it gets boring.  Stefanee bothers people indiscriminitely without any ulterior motive or plan; Dron bothers people very thoroughly and methodically in the hope of provoking them into changing.
