Dron is, needless to say, not the easiest teacher to work with.  If people don't give him what he wants, he intimidates them until they do -- and nervous administrators, who are in awe of his reputation anyway, are far too easy targets for this.  Dron actually would prefer it if they stood up to him, but only if they did so for good reasons, not just "I stubbornly think you're a jerk and won't give in to you."  Joralan did this whenever he wasn't trying to suck up to Dron -- which made two reasons Dron hated him.
