I feel so bad for Aylia here.  But . . . that is how life works.  When I first started auditioning for things, going to competitions, etc., I was cocky, because I believed I would always win.  I was so great, after all, how could anyone else fail to see it?  But . . . they did fail to see it.  They frequently chose other people, those who were more qualified, or just plain more what they were looking for in some subjective way.  Main characters should never, ever win just because they're main characters.
