I really enjoyed drawing the first panel of this strip.  It just seems so . . . X . . . for her to lean uncomfortably away from her dad's hug, wanting it to end soon.  One thing I knew I was important was that the graduation ceremony did not get blown up -- while X would find it highly amusing, it would ruin things for hundreds of other people, and that wouldn't be funny at all.  So I made sure Alexis kept a close enough eye on her to make sure she wouldn't do it -- and that X had a reason not to.
