This was an obvious conflict, but since I was only planning to do one strip with it, that's all it needed.  Daria's chattery bounciness might annoy X while she's getting underfoot -- but Loretta's much more patient about that, as well as most other things.  There's a way to shorten her temper quickly, though, and three guesses what that is.  (Laugh.)  By the way, I really like how Daria turned out in the first panel -- it's fun to draw her hovering in the air, especially since she does it so absently.
