A final practical assessment would be like a final exam, except that they're done one-on-one, and they're used as proof that a student has mastered a class and is ready to move on to the next level.  Just about every class in the knight school requires a final one, and they usually have several more throughout the length of a class.  Kurthan's desperate for this class to be over, however, and the thought of having to see all these students yet again -- especially for intensive, individual sessions -- fills him with horror!
