In case you can't tell what Carolynn's supposed to be, she's a Gorgon/dragon/human hybrid mix, the kind of thing that could never occur naturally.  Because she's terrible with shapeshifting magic, she has some control over the tail -- she's used to having a tail -- but none whatsoever on her Gorgon-ish snakes, which is why they're hanging limply, instead of twisting wildly around.  I was going to add her fairy wings from the previous strip into the mix, too, but I couldn't fit them into the panel space.  (Sniff.)
