Kurthan, you'll probably recall, was not pleased with his students after the first day of their beginners' class.  Well, I thought through the idea of him getting a teaching assistant, and it occured to me that Mordran would actually be a logical choice, since he's a competent student, he needs a scholarship to continue in school, and in Umbrian schools, scholarships and teaching assistantships are synonymous.  And since the semester's already started, he needs any TA job he can get!
