I've always wondered about the "I'll believe it when I see it" philosophy.  I mean, since when is seeing something really substantial proof?  Most of the senses can be fooled in some way, and there's an entire entertainment form -- stage "magic" -- that revolves around doing just that with vision.  And it seems to me that, being logically-minded, Linnea would have noticed this flaw in that concept, too.  She believes in Occam's Razor: the simplest explanation that fits all facts, to her, is probably true.
