This strip introduces something I think I've only hinted at before, and that's the way werewolf society works.  We know from Strip #471 and Strip #786 that they hunt food more than grow it, of course, but there's more to it than that.  Born werewolf society very often follows wolf pack structures, which means Felincia would be the beta female of her pack (her family), with her mother being the alpha female and her father the alpha male.
