Aylia is not the easiest person in the world to manipulate, after all.  And even though Alassa would be much easier to manipulate, she'd also be nearly impossible to push around in any other way (she's so stubborn, she's pigheaded).  Can you imagine Counselor Tranin trying to push Alassa around?  Talk about the irresistable force meeting the immobile object!  Aylia would probably enjoy watching it . . .
