This was the strip where I decided on X's "voice."  I had no idea how she talked before I started drawing this, and then it just jumped out at me.  That happens, sometimes -- one of my personal favorite strips (which comes in much later in the story) has a punchline that appeared from nowhere.  I started drawing, and before I knew it, the strip had written itself.  Don't you love it when the Muses decide to cooperate?
